چکیده
Abstract Introduction Colorectal cancer is the 3rd most common in UK. The higher Adenoma Detection Rate during colonoscopy associated with reduction mortality incidence of colorectal cancer. Endoscopists less than 20% ADR directly proportional to risk development an interval aim this study was calculate and Polyp for each endoscopist assess performance unit as well individuals. Method A retrospective analysis conducted patients who had a period 3 consecutive months at primary care hospital England. This included collecting data through patient’s histology reports medical records. outcome total its ratio endoscopist. Results 913 colonoscopies were done by 16 different endoscopists out which 279 polyps considered study. It observed that half found have more 20%. 4 between 15-20% whereas below minimal rate (less 15%) recorded other endoscopists. Conclusions Lower ADRs are rates cancers. An improvement 1% prevents 3% people from colon can be achieved maintaining aspirational adenoma detection

Sessile serrated adenoma detection rate is correlated with adenoma detection rate
AIM To investigated the association between adenoma detection rate (ADR) and sessile serrated ADR (SSADR) and significant predictors for sessile serrated adenomas (SSA) detection. METHODS This study is a retrospective, single-center analysis. Total colonoscopies performed by the gastroenterologists at the University of Tokyo Hospital between January and December 2014 were retrospectively iden...
متن کاملAdenoma Detection Rate in Patients Younger Than 50 Years of Age: Relationship of the Adenoma Detection Rate to Interval Cancer
The incidence of colorectal cancer in Korea has been increasing rapidly, and worldwide age-standardized rate of colorectal cancer per 100,000 population was the highest in the world in 2012 [1]. Thus, now is the time to make an effort to prevent colorectal cancer nationwide. Colonoscopy is the gold standard for primary or follow-up testing to detect colorectal cancer, and the early detection an...
متن کاملPerformance report cards increase adenoma detection rate
BACKGROUND AND STUDY AIMS Adenoma detection rate (ADR) is an important measure of colonoscopy quality, as are polyp, advanced ADR, and adenocarcinoma detection rates. We investigated whether performance report cards improved these outcome measures. PATIENTS AND METHODS Endoscopists were given report cards comparing their detection rates to the institutional mean on an annual basis. Detectio...
متن کاملCan technology increase adenoma detection rate?
Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer worldwide and the second most common cause of cancer-related death in Europe and North America. Colonoscopy is the gold standard investigation for the colon but is not perfect, and small or flat adenomas can be missed which increases the risk of patients subsequently developing colorectal cancer. Adenoma detection rate is the most widely used ma...
متن کاملNew device to implement the adenoma detection rate
It is well-known that colonoscopy is considered the gold standard for colon cancer prevention. Although performed by experienced endoscopists, the matter remains of polyps missed during this examination. The reasons may include the size, shape and location of the lesions. Many colorectal cancer screening programs have been proposed to increase the adenoma detection rate. The substantial differe...
